Homemade Chocolate

This easy to make chocolate recipe is a game changer. You may never want to buy chocolate again. It takes only a few minutes and I tend to make this weekly. I started using cacao paste instead of the cacao butter and powder separately but the cacao paste makes all the difference.

Homemade Chocolate

  • 1 cup cacao paste

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup almond or smooth nut butter

  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

  • sprinkle of sea salt

  • optional: tsp of vanilla - some dried rose petals for topping - raw cacao nibs for topping

  • Simply heat cacao paste, coconut oil and almond butter on low using the double boiler method.

  • Once melted remove from heat and add the maple syrup, salt and vanilla.

  • Pour into silicone molds or I more often line a dish with parchment paper and make it into a chocolate bark.

  • Place in freezer for at least 4 hours to set. Take out a few minutes before cutting to soften slightly if making into a bark.

  • Enjoy
