Dandy Blend Cacao Latte

If you love the comfort of a good coffee in the morning but don't love how it makes you feel, you should give Dandy Blend a try. Dandy Blend is roasted dandelion root and has the same heaviness and bitterness that coffee has. I'm not going to say that it tastes the same but if you're looking for an alternative, give this a try! I like to add the raw cacao powder for a slightly chocolaty flavour. This makes enough for 1 large coffee cup or 2 regular sized.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup coconut milk (can also use another nut milk like cashew or almond)
  • 1 -2 tsp Dandy Blend
  • 1 tsp raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 heaping scoop of collagen peptides
  • Optional: add 1/2 tsp maca powder (this also adds a lovely flavour so if you have it, give it a try)
  • If you're wanting something with a bit more sweetness at a spoonful of raw honey or maple syrup but I find the coconut milk adds a natural sweetness

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil and add to dandy blend
  • Let cool for a minute and add all ingredients into a blender (Just make sure its not too hot when you blend)
  • Simply blend for a minute or two until creamy and frothy
  • Enjoy!
